Microwave Emission Testing

Have you ever thought about how safe the microwave in the lunch room is when it comes to microwave emissions passing through the door seals? We test for Microwave Emission leakage as well. Either at the same time as we are doing Electrical Testing or that one off Microwave Emission Test. Current legislation states that a microwave in the work place must be tested each year.

RCD Testing

Its great that we all have RCDs (Residual Current Devices) also known as "Safety Switches" but do we trust they are going to work when we need them to? The Australian Standard for an RCD to react is 300 milliseconds (Faster than the blink of an eye at 400 milliseconds). This means the RCD must trip to off within 300 milliseconds of a problem if it's going to save your life. We have failed many RCDs over the years for not switching off within 300 milliseconds. These RCDs are often the only thing between you and certain death should anything go wrong. You will want to make sure these are tested yearly. Not just that they physically switch off when you push the test button, but that the RCD switches of fast enough. We test for the correct mechanical operation, and the actual speed being faster than 300 milliseconds.

Our state of the art management system records the details of each tested appliance, (Electrical or Microwave Leakage) and the detailed results of every test performed on the Prime Test 300. Your business receives a copy, and we retain a copy. Doubletick Pty Ltd will contact you to arrange the electrical testing and tagging, RCD testing, and if applicable, microwave emission tests before the current certification expires.
